Shadel Nyack Compton
Owner and Managing Director of Belmont Estate, Shadel Nyack Compton is the visionary that transformed Belmont Estate from a floundering farm to a unique business model merging history, commerce, organic agriculture, food processing, tourism, environmental, community responsibility into a single viable enterprise.
Paula has more than 18 years of experience in the tourism industry and has played a key role in the development of Belmont Estate into a premier agri-tourism destination. She has a master’s degree in Tourism Management from Royal Roads University in Canada.
Jillian started with Belmont Estate in 2000 and holds the position of Financial Controller. She is a Certified Accounting Technician and is currently pursuing the Certified Charted Accountancy Qualification with ACCA.
With a BSc in Hotel Management and Msc in Tourism & Hospitality Management from the University of the West Indies, Alicia comes with over 20 years experience in the hotel industry. An all rounder and former lecturer in Food & Beverage, Menu Planning and Bartending, she loves the outdoors, reading, exercising and travelling. She is a dedicated, passionate and self-motivated individual who seeks to continuously improve her knowledge and skill set in every task she performs.
Phebe Paul Joseph
Real Estate & Facilities Manager
Phebe started her professional career as a Legal Secretary. She has extensive experience in real estate law and has developed her knowledge and competence in the areas of property sales and facilities management. She has been employed with Belmont Estate company for the past 22 years and currently holds the position of Facilities and Real Estate Manager.
Petrina began her tenure as an accounts clerk with Belmont Estate and worked her way up to Accounts Manager. She was subsequently promoted to production manager overseeing our chocolate factory and value-added production. Over the years, she has established herself as an integral part of all departments of the company including the farm and restaurant.
Human Resource Administrator
Stacy has been employed with Belmont Estate for the past 16 years. She started her career as a waitress at our restaurant and currently holds the position of Human Resource Administrator. She holds certificates in Customer Service and Human Resource Management from the University of the West Indies.
An avid farmer, Anthony is the current farm manager at Belmont Estate. He holds a certificate in Agriculture from the Mirabeau Farm School, complementing his work with the Ministry of Agriculture for more than 35 years, attached to farm coops and model farms.
